The Controllers chief tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Reconcile and/ or oversee all G/L accounts
  • Reconcile and/ or oversee bank account reconciliation
  • Recon loan payments and maintain loan schedules and spreadsheets
  • Fixed assets management & reporting
  • Prepare  and/ or oversee various reporting of federal, state, and local tax
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements
  • Prepare and or oversee various management reports
  • Oversee the operation of accounting activities for all entities
  • Maintain documentation system of accounting  policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
  • Oversee production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards
  • Work with external auditors and provide needed information for annual audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government requirements
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
  • Produce lease schedules according to ASC 842
  • Manage accounting staff

Required skills:
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Proficient in Vista/ Viewpoint accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Ten years or more of related experience required
